We booked one of the 3 available caravans for a weeks holiday so that we could explore the local area, and it was a great base for that. Taunton is only a couple of miles away, and the site is nice and peaceful. Check in is from 2pm, and Sarah met us on our way in, and showed us to our van, and told us all we needed to know about the site. We had a wonder around the campsite, where there is a play area, laundry room and an information room that we could use if we wanted to. There are also Tennis courts on the site, which our children really enjoyed using.
The Caravan is very modern, and comfortably sleeps 4, although we did find it 'cosy'. You need to take your own bedding, but duvets, pillows and blankets are there to use. The kitchen has everything you should need, and a large fridge with a small freezer. There is a hairdryer in the shower room, which is a great addition. TV/DVD player in the seating area. The signal is not great with this, but we didn't watch a lot of TV. We took a few DVD's which the children did watch on wet days.
The 3 static caravans are not located in the camping fields, there are infront of the owners property, and have a parking area for each caravan.
We visited lots of placed whilst there, including Fossil hunting in Watchet, Dunster Castle, Hestercombe house and gardens, Vivary Adventure Centre, Tree Climbing with Channel adventures, The Willow and Wetlands Centre, Cheddar Gorge, and the local Bowling alley.
We look forward to visiting again.
